Saint Peter Dancing on the Water

Saint Peter Dancing on the Water

You probably remember the story in the Bible where St. Peter tried walking on water, as soon as things got turbulent he began to sink and Jesus saved him and pointed out he lacked faith. Peter went on to be the first Pope a Martyr and a Saint.

Could you imagine if St. Peter was given a "do over" towards the end of his life? I bet he would have danced on the water. His faith must have grown so much during his life. After all that is how it works. As we go through life we are given many situations where we can choose to depend on God. Each time we grow in faith. I can only imagine the trial and tribulations of being the first Pope. I think his faith grew way beyond what was needed to walk on water. I try to keep this in mind when I am feeling the growing pains of Faith. If God is testing your faith, keep St. Peter in mind, God has a bigger plan for you, He just needs to get you in to shape!

Our Lady of Lourdes appeared to Bernadette

Our Lady of Lourdes appeared to Bernadette

Bernadette Soubirous saw the Virgen Mary on February 11, 1858, for the first time, when she was 14 years old.

Bernadette told her mother that a "lady" spoke to her in the cave of Massabielle (a mile from the town) while she was gathering firewood with her sister and a friend.  The Apparitions are approved by the Vatican and the most important of revelations was when Our Lady said to Bernadette: "I'm the Immaculate Conception".

Coming up in our store a competition starting right after Saint Valentines Day.

Saint Terese of Lisieux

Saint Terese of Lisieux

St. Therese's message of God's Love is timeless and is needed today more than ever. In a world that is rapidly changing, her simple message should continue to be spread throughout the world!

Her desire was "to go to the ends of the earth to make God known and loved.  We can all plant a little seed to help this happen by our example.

Through the intercession of St. Therese, the lives of many people have been permanently changed. Her love for us is immeasurable, and her intervention often leaves us with gratitude and appreciation.  Here is a prayer with St. Therese:

Miraculous Invocation to St. Therese

O Glorious St. Therese,
whom Almighty God has raised up to aid
and inspire the human family,
I implore your Miraculous Intercession.

You are so powerful in obtaining every need
of body and spirit from the Heart of God.
Holy Mother Church proclaims you "Prodigy of Miracles...
the greatest saint of Modern Times."

Now I fervently beseech you to answer my petition
(mention in silence here)
and to carry out your promises of
spending heaven doing good on earth...
of letting fall from Heaven a Shower of Roses.

Little Flower, give me your childlike faith,
to see the Face of God
in the people and experiences of my life,
and to love God with full confidence.

St. Therese, my Carmelite Sister,
I will fulfill your plea "to be made known everywhere"
and I will continue to lead others to Jesus through you.

Amen.
