St. Catherine of Siena
Description
Catherine was one of 25 children! Despite family tragedies and the difficulties of her time, Catherine’s family gave her the nickname “Joy” in honor of her happy personality. Catherine had visions of guardian angels, Mary, the saints and Jesus! She became a member of the Dominican Order and is still known today as one of the most brilliant minds in Church history. Catherine has been given the esteemed title “Doctor of the Church” for her faithful wisdom.
