About Our Lady of Lourdes:
In Lourdes, France, 1858, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared 18 times to a humble 14-year-old girl named Bernadette Soubirous. During these miraculous apparitions at the Grotto of Massabielle, Mary urged prayer for sinners and asked for a chapel to be built. She revealed herself as the Immaculate Conception and pointed Bernadette to a spring whose water continues to flow to this day — revered for its healing properties. Though met with initial skepticism, Bernadette remained steadfast in faith, eventually becoming a nun. She died at 36 and was later canonized a saint. Today, Lourdes is one of the most visited Christian pilgrimage sites in the world, drawing millions who seek spiritual and physical healing.
