Description
One of the four Gospel writers, Luke is known for his impressive writing skills which probably stemmed from his education. Luke was a physician by trade and a friend of St. Paul. Many believe he was also an artist. It appears that Luke set out to capture the history of Jesus through personal interviews with those who met Jesus. Luke’s Gospel emphasizes Jesus' compassion and patience with the sinners and the suffering. Luke also wrote the Acts of the Apostles.
