Our Lady of Good Health
Description
Our Lady of Good Health can be traced to three 16th-century miracles that happened in India near a town called Vailankanni. There, Mary appeared to a shepherd boy, cured a sick child delivering buttermilk, and rescued Portuguese sailors from a violent sea storm. Depictions of Our Lady of Good Health show her in a brilliant orange Indian sari (garment). A famous basilica in Vailankanni, named for Our Lady of Good Health, welcomes millions of visitors every year.
