Description
Gemma Galgani was born in 1878 in Italy. Following the death of her mother, young Gemma longed for Heaven and therefore cherished the sacraments. She had visions of Jesus, Mary and her guardian angel. She was miraculously healed of a spinal illness (which led to migraines) and even experienced the stigmata. Gemma wished to become a Passionist nun, but was often ill and died at the young age of 25. Years later, a Passionist monastery, predicted by Gemma, was built near her home town.
