ACT OF CONSECRATION TO SAINT MICHAEL
THE ARCHANGEL
O great Prince of heaven, faithful defender of the Church,
Saint Michael the Archangel, I, although unworthy to appear
before you, but trusting in your goodness, come before you,
accompanied by my Guardian Angel and in the presence of
all the Angels of heaven, whom I take as witnesses of
my devotion to you. I choose you today as my personal
protector and advocate, and I intend to honor you as firmly as
I can. Saint Michael the Archangel, I consecrate myself to
you. I place myself, my family, and all that belongs to me under
your powerful protection. Saint Michael the Archangel,
I consecrate my body and soul to you.
I choose you as my patron and protector.
Be my strength and the guardian of my life.
Increase the fervor in my heart.
Obtain for me the grace to love with all my heart
God my Father, Jesus, my Savior; To the Holy Spirit,
my Sanctifier, and to Mary, my sweet Mother.
May she help me through her powerful intercession so that I
may imitate her courage and loyalty to God, trusting in
her kind help and protection, which may bring victory over
the enemies of my soul and be united with God
in heaven forever. Assist me throughout my life so that
I never offend God in word or thought. Defend me against
all the temptations of the devil, especially those related to
faith and purity, and at the hour of death instill peace
in my soul and lead it to the eternal home.
The offering of my slavery is small,
for I am a miserable sinner, but I make it with a faithful heart,
and remember that if from today on I find myself
under your patronage, help me throughout my life
so that my sins may be forgiven,
instill in me the gift of loving God wholeheartedly,
and give me the necessary aid to attain the crown of glory.
Always defend me from the enemies of my soul,
especially at the end of my life. Come, then, glorious Prince,
and help me in the last battle, and with your
powerful protection deliver me from the attacks of hell.
So be it! I Invite You to Persevere while it is true
that you have reached the end of this booklet,
and I hope it was also because you have
consecrated yourself to God the Father
through the hands of Saint Michael the Archangel,
I invite you to persevere in this consecration,
which is more than a devotion, it is a path
of holiness, a life plan that leads us to God, guided by
Saint Michael the Archangel. Consider and understand the
greatness of Saint Michael the Archangel,
knowing that he occupies the first place in the
hierarchy in the army of Angels destined to serve God.
The Holy Spirit tells us in the Book of Daniel that
Saint Michael is the first of the Princess.
The Holy Church repeats this in the office of the
Holy Archangel himself: Prince of the Host of the Angels,
and adds that the Angels pay homage to him.
In Sacred Scripture, while the other celestial spirits are simply
called Angels, when speaking of Saint Michael,
through the mouth of Saint Paul, he is called Archangel,
as if recognizing the greatness of his dignity and excellence.
Invoke him with fervor; venerate him, love him,
place him as your intercessor in the presence of God,
and trust in his kind patronage.
